Norway’s oskar med k heads west as his U.S. tour reaches New York, Portola and CRSSD

oskar med k is in the middle of an extensive U.S. tour which took him to The Big Apple this past weekend, and the back half puts him on Portola and CRSSD on consecutive days.
The Norwegian DJ and producer opened the run at Majestic Theatre in Detroit on September 11 and has since played Chicago, Boston, Durham, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Terminal 5 in New York. The tour continues at SKY in Salt Lake City on September 24 and Mission Ballroom in Denver on September 25, then hits Portola in San Francisco on September 26 and CRSSD Festival in San Diego on September 27 before closing at The Observatory in Santa Ana on October 8.
From 40,000 listeners to Terminal 5
The breakthrough has moved fast. His single ‘Make Me Feel’ has amassed almost 250 million Spotify streams, reached No. 1 at US Dance Radio and topped Shazam’s global house chart. His monthly Spotify audience has grown from around 40,000 to more than 11 million in under a year.
That growth explains the rooms on this tour. Terminal 5, Mission Ballroom and The Fonda Theatre are serious headline stops for an artist whose streaming audience was a fraction of its current size a year earlier, and he got there on the back of one record that kept spreading. Khalid has since joined him on a reworked version, ‘nobody (make me feel).’
It started on an iPad
Self-taught, oskar first experimented with electronic production on an iPad as a teenager. The sound he built from there is rooted in melody, atmosphere and emotional expression, and his DJ sets carry the same approach onto the floor: warm, euphoric house with an instinct for narrative and flow.
From fabric to festival season
The U.S. run follows international dates across Singapore, Berlin, Stockholm and London, including his fabric debut earlier this summer.
Portola and CRSSD are the bookings to watch. Back-to-back festival sets in San Francisco and San Diego put him in front of thousands of people who have not bought a headline ticket yet, in the same stretch where he is filling his own rooms.
Final thoughts
After the festival weekend, the tour picks up at The Showbox in Seattle on October 1, then heads to The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on October 7 and The Observatory in Santa Ana on October 8. me n ü is among the support acts on the run.
Tickets for the remaining headline dates are on sale through Live Nation and AXS. The Fonda show is 18 and over, with doors at 8 p.m. PT. Portola and CRSSD require festival passes.
